Meet Dr Patrick Roberts
Dr Patrick Roberts is an expert oncologist and hepatobiliary surgeon. He completed his training in general surgery at the University of the West Indies and a fellowship in surgical oncology and hepatobiliary surgery at the University of Toronto.
Dr Roberts is currently the only Hepatobiliary specialist in Jamaica. He has dedicated his practice to providing specialist services to the Jamaican population. He has established his practice with his personal mantra being “affable, able and available”. He has the highest level of professionalism and incorporates proper ethical principles toward the practice of his surgical discipline.
A highly skilled and competent surgeon, Dr Roberts utilises cutting edge surgical techniques and procedures including minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic procedures, radiofrequency ablation of tumours and sentinel lymph node biopsy. He specialises in cancers of the skin, thyroid, breast, colon, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, stomach, colon and anus. He also performs all general surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, biopsies, treatment of haemorrhoids and upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies.
Dr Roberts takes on a multidisciplinary approach to the management of every surgical case. He incorporates the assistance of highly trained specialists (consultant anaesthetist, radiologist, pathologist, medical oncologist, and radiation oncologist) to ensure that his patients receive the best surgical intervention possible.
